Montaña de Luz is excited to welcome our newest member to the MdL team, Nicole Felice Lopez! Nicole is our new Director of Development.
Nicole is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she grew up witnessing the power of the rebirth of the Steel City that she will always call home. She is thrilled to now have the opportunity to bring her experience to Montaña de Luz to serve our children and families.
When she isn’t mapping out new paths for creating partnerships, she and her husband Eric, chase three busy boys and try to carve out moments for road trips. Nicole is now a resident of Worthington, Ohio. She holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from The Ohio State University and an M.S.Ed from the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education.
She believes that the future of non-profits lies in personalized, flexible, approaches which reflect the needs and desires of the communities they serve. Nicole’s experience working with homeless and transient youth at The Huckleberry House Youth Shelter of Columbus as well as with parents and caregivers moving from government assistance to work at The YWCA Child Care Partnerships of Pittsburgh ingrained deeply, her conviction that we must first ask what communities want and then build together for a new future.
Nicole focuses on building globally dispersed teams to design with, not for, to grow solutions for community focused corporations, schools, and non-profits. She has served organizations ranging from The Los Angeles Unified School District to McGraw Hill International and Professional by simplifying complex innovation initiatives on the local, national, and international stage.
